The City of Chicago has been installing bike racks where people need them most. This round saw a ton of new racks placed near CTA rail stations, outside of schools, and adjacent to protected bike lanes.

What is it with this city and astronomical construction costs?!? I mean, I feel like it would be better to spend $440 million to increase the number of train conductors, run them more frequently, and build a few BRT routes.

LA should reduce all their highways to 4 lanes (down from 6) and build subways right in the middle. Throw in a BRT system on large roads (Olympic, Sepulvada, Wilshire, etc.) Just imagine the relief it would have on traffic & how the city would be transformed!
