This study is for Irish women who have bad hot flushes or night sweats, a history of cancer and for whom HRT is not recommended! Recruitment is now complete! Joined March 2021-

Right. Giving a woman with an ER+ cancer vaginal oestrogen should be a shared decision-making process. She is told the pros and cons and decides whether to use it. The extra risk of recurrence is small. Only a tiny amount of oestrogen is absorbed.

Improvements in cancer treatments has led to improved survival statistics for many . We need to focus more on the after effects of those treatments and how cancer survivors are impacted long term . Great study focussing on quality of life measures . @DonohoeFionan #menopause
