Spoke with someone last night whose UMC was told that they needed to leave as the UMC would no longer be preaching or teaching Jesus. Their members did their homework, found this is not true, and voted overwhelmingly to remain UMC.

You won’t reach new people doing the same thing and communicating the same ways you always have. If you want to reach your neighbors, you have to adjust how you communicate to fit your audience.

The key to reaching your community is to deeply understand your community. Who lives within 2 miles of your church? What do they want? Who do they want to become?
