Every professional organization in medicine should denounce the involvement of private equity in healthcare. They should send a clear message to their young physician members that PE is bad for hospitals, private practices, and patients. They won’t do it, but they should.

TOTAL US physician compensation is roughly 220 billion, ~8% of US healthcare expenditure. 1 (ONE) PBM had a profit of 125 billion in 2022. Can we stop saying that physician (somebody that actually contributes value to patient care) compensation is the problem?

@DGlaucomflecken On peer to peers it’s always a fun strategy to ask for the peers NPI number and say you will be putting it in the chart that they denied the claim and caused a delay in care. Never seen a denial after doing that. #protips.
