Negative Tangential Foot Speed- The best way to kill this quality and trap your athletes in speed plateaus is to overdose with ankling and mini-hurdles. It’s crazy how many videos state they are working on a specific quality & the exact opposite is occurring. So frustrating.

A single sport athlete will get a short break before starting travel/club/AAU. Play football and lose in the playoffs? Basketball practice next morning. Basketball ends? Baseball/track already started 3 weeks ago. That ends? June is in-season basketball. 7v7 season in July.

Important, valuable observations from Jonas here about how limited strength-speed connection can be. For ~ max V conditions, much the critical force for speed comes from limb motion, particularly the deceleration of the limb during ground impact.
