My thoughts at @SP_Inst on the budget. Very aggressive on housing supply, less so on making sure those homes are low-carbon and resilient to the effects of climate change. institute.smartprosperity.ca/Budget2024
@MikePMoffatt @SP_Inst The government would gut immigration if it was serious - the idea of 3.8 million homes in 7 years, 2031, is not credible, plus they don't account for 800,000 of them anyway.
@MikePMoffatt @SP_Inst The industry is pretty green with code and efficient technologies. It would just be noise or a distraction to getting them built
@MikePMoffatt @SP_Inst And not good for entrepreneurs. Where do they think the economic future is. Or is it just spend everything possible today, forget tomorrow. There is no green future without an economic future.
@MikePMoffatt @SP_Inst Moffat, cut the virtue signaling. Who might have more credibility.
@MikePMoffatt @SP_Inst Very aggressive promises? As in: everybody knows there’s NO WAY for them to deliver?
