It would need to be an overinflated fee considering the situation of not being able to sign a replacement due to the embargo. I don't see WestHam doing that to be honest - perhaps only if a promising youngster comes the other way as part of a deal.

Money talks. In 2023/24 the total player costs (wages plus amortisation) in the Premier League showed the clubs with the bigliest 8 player costs occupied positions 1-8 and those with the 3 lowest player costs were relegated.
