Write flat tests. No "describe", no scenario nesting, no beforeEach/afterEach hooks (as a rule). Each test case is self-contained, listing all the setup it needs. Use Symbol.dispose for reliable cleanup. Use granular test cases. ☝️ These things will make your tests shine.

It's crazy how node got faster in the past few years. I remember adding node 22 to the CI and seeing 25% improvements, and now I see pretty much the same with node 24. Our tests in the CI on node 24 take 210s, while on node 20 it's 310s. Thank you @yagiznizipli (& co)!

I got 5 GH sponsors cancellations just from last week. I wonder if there is a common reason for this, or if it's just a coincidence. I was hoping those numbers would go up in the long run, but over the last two years, it was stagnating, now it feels more like a decline 😭

my favorite thing about @MikroORM is that it makes it incredibly difficult to write n+1 queries it feels like the typescript descendent rails/activerecord other ts ORMs are significantly lacking (they’re really just advanced query builders). it’s just that ts devs are so locked…

@ShahriarTheDev AI has dramatically changed how I work, but it's not underappreciated. For something underappreciated, I'd say @MikroORM. I even switched from MongoDB to Postgres because of it. It solves many general issues and works really well with TypeScript, which I prefer to use.
