I have completed the story for Age of Calamity. It is not everyone's cup of tea, but it was certainly mine. Revisiting this game was worth it. I am incredibly hyped for Age of Imprisonment, and I truly hope that they will release an eShop demo soon.

I have managed to cause Age of Calamity to crash on my Switch 2. Other issues I’ve experienced were sound stutters and of course, bad frame rates. Contrary to reports on socials, this game did not benefit from the Switch 2 hardware. This game needs an optimization update.

Nintendo/Koei Tecmo have been posting so much information about Age of Imprisonment on their dedicated Hyrule Warriors account. Why can't the west get the same amount of promotional info? Grok's translation is terrible, so it's difficult to view properly.

I hope that a demo of the game will be released soon after TGS. I played Age of Calamity's demo to death before the game was released.

I've been grinding #FireEmblem Shadows a lot. For a FE game, you can tell why a lot of people dislike it. That doesn't mean it's not fun playing Among Us in the style FE converted to real-time. Plus, the mix of Norse and Buddhism/Hinduism is a cool way to lead the story.

One of lesser known facts about Age of Calamity is that while it was not the prequel everyone asked for, it served as an interlude between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Tulin's Sage ability was first teased in AoC.

Back in the 2008 recession, all three console manufacturers released revisions that aimed to be CHEAPER. The Xbox 360 S, PlayStation 3 Slim, and Wii Family Edition all cut certain features and became more affordable in a time when affordability was needed the most. Why not now?

I did a quick audit of how long I have played Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom. Between 3 profiles plus 20 hours of the demo, I have played 505 hours of AoC. Between 2 profiles, I have played 490 hours of TotK. Gotta keep that AoC hour count higher than TotK.

The BotW Saga... This is truly a monumental era for The Legend of #Zelda. There is nothing more that defines my teen and young adulthood than these games, and the journey isn't over yet! If AoI is the last game, then I hope it will be the best sendoff for this 11-year journey.

It's getting very cringe seeing people gatekeep genres from their favourite game franchises. It's like the people saying BotW and TotK aren't Zelda games. Come on people, be more open to innovation. Developers want to be creative, so let them be creative.

The one downside to physical backwards compatibility on the Switch 2 is that you do not get the same performance benefits of a digital Switch 1 game. This is Age of Calamity played on Switch 2 handheld mode, on a Game Card. I am still experiencing some dips in frame rate.
