@WeightLossForty Yes Allison, as well as other things it does. It kicks the body into a fat burning process, energy production. @WeightLossForty YES, it's the same as described in the article organiclivefood.com/diet/howtolose… Some people call it 12-hr fast others call it 12:8 meaning 12 hr fast and 8 hr eating period, but relly the same Allison.

@LuvPlanet_Earth Well, according the most studies, and a good one from Harvard School of Public Health, it should be about 500 calories per day that you are fasting. 12:8 fast is ideal if you just drink water. organiclivefood.com/diet/howtolose… describes in more detail.

@LuvPlanet_Earth Yes it does Naomi. In lots of ways that there is not enough space to talk about here. Quickly, it helps the arteries to take a break and relax the heart muscle. Eating is tough on the body, heart, and blood supply. Although we do need nutrients. A break of say 12 hr is good 4body

Naomi, alternative-day fasting /ADF is slightly different, n ur dietician should b consulted if u want to go that direct. It's usually taking 2/3 days in the week off from eating and the rest of the week, u can eat more or less what u want. Ideally u r still eating HEALTHY FOODS.

Ideally, a major part of your fast is during your sleep hours. Ideally, it doesn't have to be, but it would be more ideal. As the body is resting, you will burn more fat. organiclivefood.com/diet/howtolose… describes everything in more detail that I can in a 180 character tweet.
