It's lovely to see these bulbs planted by our eco team and site team coming into bloom!
So lovely to see these plants in our sustainable drainage planters starting to bloom. These were purchased with a grant from the #STCommunityFund and they help to reduce flooding by slowing the drainage of water after it’s rained.

Our eco team have been busy making bird houses and bug hotels to support biodiversity in and around the school site!
The School Eco Council has had a fantastic day in London! We visited Parliament and learned about how laws are made. We also had the opportunity to watch some debates in the House of Commons and the House of Lords!

Our site team have built some leaf litter bins and dead hedges. These allow us to keep green waste on site whilst providing valuable habitats for birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals like hedgehogs!
Our first SuDS planter is up and running! Thank you very much to the Severn Trent Community Fund for the grant which allowed these to be installed! And thank you to the PTA who kindly donated money for the compost and plants! #STCommunityFund
We were delighted when we received a grant from @stwater earlier this year to install sustainable drainage systems across the school. These have now arrived and we cannot wait to get them installed and in position ready to be filled with lots of plants! #STCommunityFund!
I went back to @MontroseSchool recently, and it was great to show off the kit we have, how we do our job, and make a bit of noise too! 🚨 Thank you to years 1 and 2, along with everyone else on the playground who wanted a quick impromptu look too!!

The Eco Schools Committee were busy planting fruit trees this morning as part of the Orchards for Schools Project - we can't wait to watch them grow and flourish in the years to come (and hopefully give us lots of tasty apples, plums and cherries!).
