Hot take. The infosec triad "CIA" starts with Confidentiality. And most infosec people I know just ignore this in their personal life. Happily giving tons of confidential data to Google/Apple/5000 other services they use. Please take your own confidentiality seriously.

Our advice to people who are new to computer stuff 1. Don't take yourself too seriously, have fun with what you're doing and enjoy mistakes and set backs 2. If you don't enjoy something, don't force yourself to do it 3. It's not a race - take your time.
