Again - folks, please do not obsess over what the questions might ask! I mean, all good physics questions overlap topic areas. Don’t think about what-ifs that don’t impact your exam prep!

In some problems, either approach works, in which case either is fine! If you have a non-constant acceleration - like with a curved track, object swinging from string, or object on spring - then only energy works!
