After a full day of qualification matches, @CuCPS Aftershocks robotics team is placed 16th out of 34 with 4 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties. We pick it up again in the morning. We will play more qualification matches tomorrow and then a double elimination bracket with the top 24 teams

A couple of things before I hit the bed. Today, we hit a few new personal bests: highest ever average match score and highest ever offensive power rating. It's been a super long day but in the end I'm proud of the team's performance, poise and behavior today. They did a great job

Final update for the day! We placed as high as 6th at one point and finished up 20th in a field of 37 teams. There were a few unforced errors on our part, that's fine. We have to learn somehow. :-) Kids and I are in good spirits and headed to find something for an early dinner.

Occasionally I have a good idea that the kids jump into with both feet. Groups of students came up with a setting, characters & plot and then animated it with the robotic arms. These ladies are preparing a full on scene with music, accents and a proposal. #wearecucps #gotec

The Aftershocks finished today's matches 2-2. We have a FULL day of matches tomorrow and Saturday. At the moment, that puts us in 30th in a field of the 60 best teams in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. It has been a relaxed, peaceful day with an awesome group of students.
