My guy, talent is not the issue at all with this team. Please STFU with these excuses. DeBoer is simply not cut for this job. He and his coaching staff just do not have the temperament for this program. Everyone sees it. It was arguably the biggest question mark before he came.

By the way, Saban had lost that edge too. It was clear his culture had changed some his last 3-4 years, really starting with Bryce Young’s era (despite the SECT). I thought Wommack and Grubb would be the bad cop to Deboer’s good cop role. Just hasn’t happened.
The guys at Washington I’m sure played hard and were motivated because it was Washington. They were 2 and 3 ⭐️’s who were overlooked and motivated. They had inherent fire. That’s not Bama. These are 4/5 ⭐️’s who’ve been worshipped in high school. You HAVE to create that fire.
I wanna be clear about Kalen DeBoer. I have ZERO doubt he’s a great football coach. He’s won everywhere, and played for a national title at Washington. I also have ZERO doubt he’s not the guy for Alabama. His High School Musical “we’re all this together” approach won’t work here.
