It's so agitating... With my own son I would NEVER think to make an excuse or use that as my "go to" response. I will always do my own observations and draw conclusions, but I would never immediately go to "well that doesn't happen at home". #sunchat

This one drives me crazy... I have not had one parent this year try to say that to me but the year is young.... I'm not talking about what they are doing at home. I'm talking about what they are doing in school. They are two completely different places. #sunchat

I'm having that problem with my 8th grade currently and their stamina to actually complete work to their honors capabilities.. I feel like I have to drag many to the finish line and am met with rolling eyes. #sunchat

I think social media was the death of things, especially with our younger generation. It's too much information all at once in too many people talking at once. I don't think social media is being used correctly in the terms of making a positive impact on society. #sunchat

I'm having this problem in science with fake news and things that kids think that they hear or say and I have to debunk it... Like I'm fighting an uphill battle especially when you deal with a fact-based subject. #sunchat

Many times I talk to my 8th graders about this and I show them pictures when they come in and they have to determine if those pictures are real or not... That's super scary and I tell them that's why they should not be posting their face all over social media #sunchat

The outcome has changed a lot even since I graduated high school in 2005.. student and family dynamics are almost completely gone and we are expected to pick up the slack. It isn't fair, and we are tired. #sunchat

I have a multitude of different types of learners within my science room and sometimes what works for one class does not work for another. I have some that are on a hairpin trigger and others that can really deep dive into curriculum... It's really tough #sunchat

I wish just talking about this with a teacher that was given a class full of students who did not fit in with other sections and cause a lot of disruptions. This would have been a great opportunity to have an SEL class And could have brought in numerous guest speakers. #sunchat

My whole STEM program is built on inquiry!! I give real world problems for them to solve. Obviously I've walked them through the experiment process to ensure safety is maintained but it's all them! #sunchat

I have students that visit me every single day right on the dot and we have open dialogue but I asked them all the time if they've done their work and made a difference and they laugh and say no... I'm great at building relationships, but the S has to put the work in #sunchat
