I kept telling the lady that until the coat was sold completely!
I sold my rabbit fur coat to the wife of a Spanish radio disc jockey. I told her, "it looks better on you than it does on me."
I asked her questions about the rich lady, "why did they ask you?", "Can't you find anything better?"😤😡
I was really frightened by the thought of her asking to work for that rich lady!!😨😱😣
When my oldest daughter was in high school she asked me if she could do light housework in the afternoons for a rich lady we knew.......
"Probes negros," is always what a remarked when I notice a headline in the paper about a civil rights demonstration in the south.
I always told my children how the Mexicans were often mistreated in California border town and also in Texas.
My husband and I always scorned those "white" Mexican-Americans who tried to pass themselves off as Spanish!!!!!!
My husband and I would always tell our four children that, "We are Mexicans."
