Senior breakfast yesterday. Beaming with pride. She was in my first group of animation students after switching from 12 years of math. She told me sheās going to college to be an animator. Has very little to do with me and all with her talent, but Iām so proud! #FISDmadetoshine
EDI students spent last week researching and creating a 3D plan of a Rube Goldberg machine on CAD software. This week they have been building and testing their plans, improving their designs, providing feedback to others and collaborating with their partners. #FISDmadetoshine
Got to celebrate some of my favorite kiddos last night at Senior Night with @WakelandHS tennis! š§”š Watched some matches, talked about life and told them I better see those faces again at the @CobbMSCyclones senior breakfast in May! #FISDmadetoshine
We kicked off our Kindness Initiative today at Cobb and Iām excited to see how our kiddos support each other. I set a goal for myself in August to thank a sub anytime I saw them leaving for the day. I did this again today and itās clear how much itās needed and appreciated. ā¤ļø
EDI students worked this week on fine tuning the use of the engineering design process. We did a small task ā design a paper shelter that shields from sun (flashlight) and holds a pack of index cards on top. Next week comes the first REAL engineering project! #FISDmadetoshine
Sent a glowing email home on a kiddo who had really gone above and beyond on an animation project. Truly some of best work Iāve seen in my 5 years. He stopped me today and said āThey read me your email.ā āYay! Are you proud?ā āYes maāam.ā āI am too.ā This is why I teach.š„¹
Major shoutout to @friscoisd maintenance. My room flooded over the weekend and they were here all week for repairs. Got the green light this AM to reconnect everything (miraculously there was no damage to ANY tech) and we will be back in for class on Monday! š„³ #FISDmadetoshine
