Today was the first day that I actually had students stay for tutoring (week 13 of the school year)! And, they reminded me of why I teach (even though I had to bribe one of them with my age to finish his work) 🙄😩

My job: gives me this complicated formula to calculate curved midterm scores PLC Lead: Triggs, shouldn’t you be working on grading your midterms? Me: (sitting in her room, looking back at it, while avoiding work) iight, so I made this spreadsheet that does it all for me 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

One of my girls came to me in the middle of third period to tell me that she wrote a letter to her crush, and was now afraid to go back to class because she was afraid of his reaction 😩 it was so pure, I hope it worked out for her

I really hate how everyone automatically assumes that ALL kids are disrespectful to their teachers. If you knew anything about out jobs, it’s not just about teaching, it’s about creating meaningful relationships. If you create those relationships, respect follows
