2 things I've learned from @MyMiscarriage journey: 1. I can't thread for shit; 2. My husband is an even more amazing human than I thought.
15/ been a horrible horrible shitty time but we're through the worst of it & are hopeful for the future. #miscarriage happens. And it's shit
14/ our friends & family, who've stood like sentry guards, protecting us from the worst of the emotional onslaught. And each other. It's...
13/ & my birthday will never really be the same again. But we have plenty to be thankful for; and we are. The wonderful #NHS for starters
12/ over the coming weeks. My period will return. The emotional healing starts now too. Next March will be hard. That's when Bean was due..
11/ it now. The physical healing is finally underway. My empty womb is readjusting to the old normal; the pregnancy hormones will fade away
10/ #pregnancy unit. They were kind & supportive & helped us through. I just wish we hadn't gone into this blind. We're through the worst of
9/.. I'm a grown woman equipped w/ a healthy dose of realism, resilience & strength. I don't blame my midwife or the staff at the early
8/.. were looking increasingly bad. They still continued to say "don't worry". I'm not a fragile object that needs wrapping in cottonwool.
7/.. it came to 1 of the most momentous changes in my life - our lives. We simply weren't prepared for #miscarriage. And even once the signs
6/.. I'm a realist, an analyst. I make decisions using evidence every day of my life: at work, at home. I weigh up pros & cons. But not when
5/..the 25% chance that your #pregnancy won't end happily. I know many women won't want to hear these facts but what abt those of us who do?
4/.. your 12wk scan & even then there are no guarantees. It's all abt saving those around you from a sad conversation, not preparing you for
3) ..this fact. It's buried in euphemism. "You 'might want to wait' before telling people you're #pregnant" Not, "nothing's certain til ...
2) ..that I was so ill prepared for this eventuality. #1in4pregnancies end like this. But all the books & leaflets & advice just skim over
