A green comet will be closer to our planet today, Feb 2, than it's been in over 50,000 years! The brightness of comets is unpredictable, but with clear skies, you could see Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF)! go.nasa.gov/3wQA6Vu
This comet was discovered in March 2022 by Bryce Bolin, a NASA postdoctoral fellow at Goddard and Frank Masci, a senior scientist at Caltech. They used the wide-field survey camera at the Zwicky Transient Facility.
@NASAGoddard New interest in the solar system, I bought a telescope and downloaded the free version of Stellairum app on my phone. The experience was amazing. I hope the neighbors don't think I am spying on them and call the cops. I think I will forewarn them just to be safe.
@NASAGoddard I found this in 2021 can I have my credit and my check please
@NASAGoddard I would like to know why it is green? Didn’t we have a comet with a blue tail around 2000 ? What is colouring their tails and comae ? Anybody ??
@NASAGoddard Hey look everyone, it's a green tinged pebble floating through infinite space, wow.
@NASAGoddard I could also see God if he was up there but I have the same chance to see this comet with the naked eye as I do God. It's easily 6-10 times dimmer than forecast
