The #ICPPA2024 side events sparked vital conversations around diabetics, cancer, stroke, heart related diseases & ear, & oral health. Integrating @WHO's PEN interventions into primary care & expanding #PENPlus in district hospitals, will ensure access to life-saving treatments.
From one clinic to a continent-wide conference, the #PENPlus model has come a long way. This week, we were in Tanzania with @WHOAFRO and @NCDIpoverty, hearing from leaders on expanding noncommunicable disease care in Africa. Read more: bit.ly/4aMChLU #ICPPA2024
One of the many iconic booths during #ICPPA2024 was the abstract station which housed about 15 abstract presenters on the different severe #NCD diseases. The presentations sparked conversations and deeper thinking into how collectively we can #BeatNCDs in Africa.
