🚨#NO DROPPED CHARGES — Louisville Mayor says they will be respecting the legal process and look forward to that process continuing on June 3rd when Scheffler is arraigned.
@NUCLRGOLF Then the Louisville mayor will respect the legal process by arresting LPD officer Gillis? He committed perjury on his report, checking box he indeed has video of the incident.
@NUCLRGOLF They’ll never host another PGA
@NUCLRGOLF They’ll never host another PGA
@NUCLRGOLF @LouisvilleMayor what a loser, you and your crap city.
@NUCLRGOLF Are we to believe that not only did Gillis not have his bodycam on, but none of the other officers on the scene did either?
@NUCLRGOLF Louisville can kiss away any hope of hosting a major or any other PGA tournament ever again.
@NUCLRGOLF Never passing through Louisville or spending a dime in that city This is not how you treat guests
@NUCLRGOLF Respecting the legal process doesn't mean you put your head in the sand & hope it all turns out okay. There's always discretion on what, if any charges, are filed. For the city of Louisville (Mayor, DA, PD, etc.) to press forward under these circumstances is bonkers.
@NUCLRGOLF Ask Breonna if they respect the legal process
I just don’t understand their reasoning behind pursuing these charges. Best case is that Scottie is found NG, they try to claim “we were just following the legal process”. The entire golf world hates you tho and the PGA most likely won’t come back to Louisville. Worst case, you actually convict the #1 golfer in the world on a felony charge and have to put him in jail. 100% the entire state of Kentucky would never see another PGA Tour event and you become a joke to the entire country.
@NUCLRGOLF Louisville mayor needs to fire his police chief and suspend/terminate most if not all the officers involved. Utter disgrace
@NUCLRGOLF Louisville “respecting the legal process” is about as rich as it gets. 😂
@NUCLRGOLF So in game theory Louisville is trying to choose the biggest losing outcome on purpose ? Maybe some weird 180 wish that it will turn out good???
@NUCLRGOLF The process is Scheffler’s lawyer will ask for the charges to be dropped during trial to which the DA will agree.
@NUCLRGOLF What was the point of that joke of a press conference? @LMPD
@NUCLRGOLF Actually proving these charges in court beyond a reasonable doubt is a virtual impossibility even before you consider the possibility that LMPD spoliated evidence.
@NUCLRGOLF Does the legal process include false imprisonment charges and false arrest, and prosecutorial malfeasance?
@NUCLRGOLF Louisville is trash, just like their pitch and putt course Valhalla
@NUCLRGOLF How many OWGR points is the mayor getting for this?
@NUCLRGOLF I wonder if they need to go through with the process so that all the officer’s past “arrests” aren’t scrutinized. If he falsified reports, that will open a large can of worms for the department and city prosecutors.
@NUCLRGOLF Scottie should sue the cop, the police chief and the mayor. That would prompt action.
@NUCLRGOLF Really? That's crazy after seeing the video and not dropping the charges.
@NUCLRGOLF The Louisville Mayor has no clue how bad this looks. They should be circling the wagons to quash this. Louisville is not exactly a tourist destination, but the downtown covered district is kind of cool in the summer. Went there twice on business. You need some good PR. @LMPD
@NUCLRGOLF Guess Louisville really not a fan of golf tourneys coming to town
@NUCLRGOLF Mayors next phone call -> "Hello Progressive, what is the pay our limit of our policy again? Who pays beyond that"?
@NUCLRGOLF We all know they’re getting dropped. Clickbait.
@NUCLRGOLF Would not want to be a police officer in that city. Only what the officer did not, nothing about the suspect breaking the law.
@NUCLRGOLF The mayor can only say so much. He has to show his support for the PD. The DA too has to be careful as he is dependent on the PD. The DA will try his best to get a plea, but Scheffler’s lawyer is looking for a dismissal with prejudice!!!
@NUCLRGOLF @LouisvilleMayor @ValhallaGolf we went from selling the most pga tickets ever to probably never having the opportunity to have another event here. The people in Louisville absolutely love to turn out and show their hospitality. 1/2
@NUCLRGOLF Many words were spoken but nothing of substance was said.
