Come on guys. Sports reward physical outcomes. Academics should reward growth, not just rank. You don't bench a kid for not scoring A. School isn't the Olympics. Equating podiums to education ignores that learning is developmental, not a zero-sum contest. That's the whole point.
"Not fair to top students?" They still get their results and recognition. Just not by overshadowing others. Real success doesn't need a spotlight. This teaches humility, cuts elitism and values effort. We can celebrate without excluding anyone.
