Today, I have been around my Abbey Ward area and have met the local businesses and also residents. The damage caused is heavy from the flood. Abbey Lane is still partly closed. Beaumanor Road local residents are not happy from the last time flood and also this flood.

Today, I went to a meeting called by the Abbey Ward area neighborhood team, about anti-social behaviour in my ward. It was a pleasure to meet the relevant officers, Sgt Marc Overton, PC Baz Harteveld and local residents. It was a very positive discussion.

Went to the newly opened Abbey Park tennis court today. It was an amazing experience and a fresh of breath air, great job done on the tennis court. Met the head of sport, Andrew Beddow, Cllr and Assistant Mayor, Vi Dempster and other city council officials.

I did my patch walk with council officers in Abbey ward. Labour is running the council for so many years, they had labour councillors here and a Labour MP for all these years, but this is what they have delivered. Asked the officers to take action to fix things immediately.

This is from Abbey Park Road. Recently this bridge has been open after the lengthy work. A lot of money has been spent on it but I have just passed on this road and clearly you can see the water is staying the road and it is not being drained so it is dangerous for the motorists.

This pub on Somerset Avenue is under a planning development for such a long time but nothing has happened. There is anti social behaviour and a fire happened so the local residents reported this to me. I met Gary and his wife and I will raise this issue to the local city council.

I met one of the local residents on Abbey Lane, trees are growing on the main road and especially in front of the local residents house. She says trees on front of her house is creating structure damage on her property. So, I will raise this issue to the city council.

It was a pleasant meeting with Mr Rupert Matthews Crime Police Commissioner, we discussed many issues like the anti social behaviour on the Mowmacre Hill areas, local crimes and especially the last incident that happened on Ellis Meadow Park and it was a very good time meeting.
