Turned out really nice.
I was finally able to run the last test. The CoPro is recognized by the BIOS and the test programs run without errors. I think the board is now complete. 😁
The VLB graphics card has problems displaying DOS VGA games. Only the 320x200x256 mode seems to be affected. Pure DOS or Norton Commander show no problems. Checked for mechanical faults and re-soldered the ICs. But no improvement. I suspect the RAM. Any ideas @BitsUndBolts?
Today I replaced the old wobbly switches with new ones. Boring work. But now the keyboard works as it did on the first day.
Try pushing the limit. With the Any_clk from MiGron (migronelectronics.bigcartel.com) the speed can be set easily. The system is currently running stable at 24.58 MHz. Dosbench says 7.6 frames per second. 😀
Test the new CRT Terminator DV1000. Great picture, sharp pixels, no lag. 😀
