As devastating heatwaves scorch much of our planet I can't stop thinking about the economists who claimed—and in some cases continue to claim—that mitigating for 2.7 degrees of heating is "optimal". It's actually criminal. And these people had direct access to policymakers.

Also an update from Thursday - solid ride for @MindCharity 300 mile Sept challenge - bringing me up to c.290 miles yesterday, and finishing a bit late tomorrow with a ride with @GUCycling. Nearly there - been such a rewarding month of cycling and raising mental health awareness.
First ride with @GUCycling on a social peloton, pushing me to 204/300 miles for @MindCharity Sept fundraiser! Great ride, first proper peloton experience, can’t wait for more! (hills incl. 🙏🏻)
Zoomed to the 148 mile mark on my 300 mile Sept cycle challenge & fundraiser @MindCharity! Back on my Pinnacle now home from @BikeforGoodGla South - thanks to them for getting it in peak running condition!
