I know more disabled people who DON'T claim PIP, because they are too frightened to go through the degrading process, than disabled people who do claim.
✍️ Disability benefits are a lifeline. They help to counteract the massive extra costs that disabled people face. They aren't "perverse incentives that drive people into welfare dependency" ❌
Some disabled people can & do work. Some could with the right adjustments & support. Some could work but no one will employ them. Some could work but only flexibly/part-time. Some do work but shouldn’t really. Some don’t work and can’t. Some never will be able to. All are valid.
