I have lost count of how many young people have compared actual schools to feeling like a prison, and teachers to acting like police. That’s before we even get to a ‘secure school’ aka, a prison.
You can’t heal young people by hurting them. That’s the philosophy that underpins the therapeutic design and practice of @OasisRestore, the UK’s first Secure School, which will open to children next month. A revolution for the youth justice system!

The term "Patwa" emerged to facilitate comprehension by non-speakers. PATOIS is associated with Kromanti roots rather than English. While there may be auditory resemblances, the articulation and tonalities diverge significantly. External influences sought to define our language.

@fufuisonme Jamaica has fourteen parishes. In these parishes, different dialects are spoken. So, I did not know = mi næe kno, mi neba kno, naė kno dat de, naa ovas etc. “History is a people's memory, and without a memory, man is demoted to the lower animals.”

Justice Secretary @AlexChalkChelt has said that a justice system which ensures the innocent walk free is a priority for him. Andrew Malkinson and APPEAL therefore hope he will act decisively to bring in new leadership at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
