"HOW THE NIGERIAN EMBASSY IN THE PHILIPPINES BARED AGGRIEVED NIGERIAN SCHOLARS FROM GAINING ACCESS TO THE EMBASSY WITH PHILIPPINE POLICE" Please open this thread and see how the said NIMASA-NSDP Scholars have been suffering for 10 years. Pls rt and make this go viral “A THREAD”
We are Nigerian government scholars currently in the Philippines. We were sent here for studies, but have been abandoned by our sponsors and government. All attempts to get the attention of our sponsors have been abortive thus far.
Thus, we decided to engage the embassy to relate our grievances to our sponsors and the Nigerian government, but we were denied access into our own embassy which serves as an extension of our country.
Here they came to to address us after standing for 3hrs.
All we are asking for is dividends of a scholarship we have wasted some of the best years of our youth in, due to internal and external politics in the agency. We were not giving enough fend for ourselves in a country badly hit with covid which severely affected their inflation
This amount includes but not limited to accommodation, feeding, trainings, transportation, etc.
We demand the government to act whilst the sun shines. We are not asking for too much. What was given to our colleagues who came here before us should be given to us equaly to enable us shoulder all the expenses while in the Philippines.
@Nsdpcadetbatch2 Your embassy keep you outside for hours is wrong and the USA embassy will never do that to our citizens
