Static testing of our new sustainer propellant “Black Flame” yesterday! Getting closer to characterizing this new formulation and can’t wait to continue our sub-scale testing in the coming weeks.
We’ve been hard at work prepping for the Spaceport America Cup in NM. Since we target an altitude of 150k ft, this is 1 of the only places in the country we can launch from. We’re reaching out for help funding our travel. If you can, please consider donating/sharing! Thank you!

We relaunched Probatum at the Balls 26 launch in Black Rock NV, setting a new altitude record for OSU at 80,000 ft going Mach 2.3
(3/3) Looking to launch again in the coming months with a slight sustainer motor modification. We are fully confident in all other systems
(2/3) We did otherwise have a nominal full-stack flight, successful separation, re-ignition of the sustainer, and recovery of all components
(1/3) Altitude goal was not met with the sustainer reaching only 24,000 ft AGL due to over-pressurization of the sustainer motor

After 4 states, 1,666 miles, and 24 hours of driving the OSU HART has arrived in Las Cruces for the 2017 @Spaceport_NM Cup
'Probatum', our rocket name, means "well tested" or "tried and true" due to the numerous system tests we have performed to ensure success.
All packed and in route to @Spaceport_NM for our June 24th launch 🚀
Our minimum diameter design was a challenge to implement but greatly increased our projected apogee.
