We know that the N fert decreases dollar spot, but we don't know why. Our most recent paper led by @Suwell86 suggests that N influences the microbiome, specifically increasing oxalic acid-degrading bacteria, which leads to reduced disease. Give it a read! doi.org/10.1094/PHYTO-…

Hands-on soap flushing and pitfall trap demo for turfgrass pest monitoring at the OLCA Field Day today. It was a great turnout, with six groups! Thanks to my graduate student Henry and two undergraduates Hunter and Max for doing a great job assisting with the event!

Disease Update! First confirmed case of active summer patch, Nematodes are starting to really cause turf decline and poa triv is checking out hard core! Stay on the phosphites and do everything you can culturally to make the turf healthy and happy!!

More unhappy news. Brown patch is active already! Most of the samples I have seen this week are turf type tall fescue. Make sure when spraying that your using the right product for the job. Protectants are before disease occurs, curatives are for active disease problems.
