The Chameleons really impressed me with their teamwork this morning. They have been making ebooks to present information about bees. 🐝 #OWPScomputing
In Computing, we have been working on presenting information in different ways. Today, the Chameleons are working in pairs to make a fact file about the United Kindom 🇬🇧#OWPScomputing
We took part in the #OWNTrustCharityDay2024, carrying cups of water around the Wistow Mile Track, in aid of @UNICEF . We managed 310 laps! Well done Chameleons.💧
This morning, we finished reading our text ‘The Bee Who Spoke’. It taught us a little about the important job that bees have. We have researched this further using videos and websites. #OWPSenglish
In Computing, we have been exploring how a story can be presented in different ways. We looked at mind maps, quizzes, e-books and fact files. #OWPScomputing
When we got back to class, we celebrated our finished work. The children left post it notes on each other’s work, saying what they like about their puppets. #OWPSdt
Thank you so much to all of the adults that came to our 2CanLearn session this morning. The children are so happy with their final mini-beast hand puppets. #OWPSdt
The Chameleons worked really well in teams this morning, answering questions about our text ‘The bee who spoke’. 🐝#OWPSenglish
In tennis this afternoon, we practiced balancing on our rackets before bouncing. 🎾#OWPSpe
This afternoon, we learnt about habitats and how they provide the basic needs for different kinds of animals. The Chameleons drew a habitat around each animal and included the things they need to survive. #OWPSscience
Finally, a meadow study to identify some common plants species. We looked for evidence of animals living in the meadow habitat and used our results to make a food chain!

Woodland study to compare micro-habitats. We recorded temperature and light, as well as any evidence of plants and animals living in the habitats. 🌳

In RE this afternoon, we learnt about the story of Hanukkah and why the Menorah is special to Jews. The Chameleons played the dreidel game and discussed how this reminds Jews of the story.
We have been exploring our school grounds to sort and classify things according to whether they are living, dead or never alive. #OWPSscience 🐝🍂🪨
In our art lesson this afternoon, we created collages of Minibeasts inspired by Eric Carle. I was so impressed with their creativity! #OWPSart
