Giant English flag unfurled on the Nottingham Council building in England ahead of St George's Day. It is the largest St Georges Flag in the country and many have praised the decision by Nottingham Council to display the flag. 🏴
On the origins of the flag and its connection to the Genoese flag, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, said in a speech in Genoa in 1992: The St. George's flag, a red cross on a white field, was adopted by England and the City of London in 1190 for their ships entering the Mediterranean to benefit from the protection of the Genoese fleet. The English Monarch paid an annual tribute to the Doge of Genoa for this privilege.[8]
@OliLondonTV Fantastic to see someone/group has the balls to do this and wonder how many it will upset. Have the police been called yet???
Except all the transgender dragon activists who demanded the immediate prosecution of the flag unveiled and removal of the flag. The Mayor of London responded “Certainly, right away.” They then marched to Lord Nelson’s statute to demand its removal as mocking people with two eyes.

@OliLondonTV There should be no controversy with this
@OliLondonTV never mind flag shagging, you could have a flag orgy with that thing. Makes you proud to be English.
@OliLondonTV As a Scot I say - good for you! As long as flag waving nationalism doesn’t take over - like it has up here - you are right to feel proud to be English.
