@hollyherndon This particular problem is not being addressed yet, but teams at @OpenAccessDAO @vita_dao and @ResearchHub are all doing some amazing things to fund sconce and/or make their publications open/accessible

7/ Journals today take a massive take rate for providing a coordination + reputation service, which is exactly where DAOs can be disruptive and potentially reinvest that money into grants, bounties for certain types of research, etc. and it's happening
