Glad I decided to swim @CityofAdelaide’s State Aquatic Centre, located in the south western suburb of Oaklands Park. It’s a brilliant facility where I got to swim 1.2km in the main 50m pool, then another 1km in the other divided 50m pool. Easy to get to on PT so I’ll be back!

Taking a 1hr break in Curepipe, central Mauritius, before the final bus leg to the airport. Some nice surprises including the internally timbered Saint Thérèse Church, founded in 1868 and the quite unusual French-inspired mansards and pyramidal turrets of the Town Hall, 1902.

Two morning swims, one of 1.2km and the other of 1km, with a long beachside walk in between and after on the glorious stretch of Flic en Flac, west coast Mauritius. That’s it now. Finished with a smoked marlin and parmesan tagliatelle and will make tracks for tonight’s flight.

Monday afternoon 1km swim at Flic en Flac, east coast of Mauritius — a swimmer’s joy and by far the best beach I’ve experienced this week. Leaving tomorrow night so a morning swim’s a must.

Monday morning walk to La Cuvette Beach for what was a piddly 200m swim coz it was far too shallow, so returned to Grande Baie for a far better experience for a 1km swim. On to Flic en Flac by bus now via a change in Port Louis for my last night.

Bussed back to RM Club Grande Baie to take advantage of their 2nd open day for more pickleball and ended up getting a 40min one-on-one coaching session for Padel, my first time ever, while waiting. Turned out to be a great 3hr afternoon.
