As I conclude my term as ASP President, I express my deep gratitude to Judge Piotr Hofmański @IntlCrimCourt for his work, collegiality and support during these three years. I wish him much success in the final months as ICC President and wish him the best in his future endeavours

Canada stands firm with the @IntlCrimCourt. We strongly condemn the Russian regime’s attempt to target and intimidate the Court and its officials. The ICC is an impartial and independent body that is essential to maintaining global order. Its integrity must be preserved.

I wish to express my deep appreciation for today´s decision by the Government of the United States to revoke the sanctions and visa restrictions against the Court. I trust this decision signals the start of a new phase of our common undertaking to fight against impunity.

NGOs were crucial for the creation of the Court and continue to be essential for its promotion and protection. A very good first meeting of many more to come.
I would like to congratulate the newly elected ICC Presidency and wish President Hofmański and Vice Presidents Ibáñez and Mindua a productive and successful mandate. They can count on the support of the ASP.
