PPL has embarked on a significant milestone by signing an MoU with FWO to foster strategic cooperation & collaboration for EL 207 project in Eastern Chagai, Balochistan. MD & CEO PPL Imran Abbasy & DG FWO Major General Abdul Sami signed the MoU at PM Secretariat on March 6, 2024.

Fuelling the Futures: Oil, Gas & Minerals Career Expo 2024-A Resounding Success: Inaugurated by Federal Energy Minister Mr. Muhammad Ali on January 31 at Pak-China Friendship Centre Islamabad, the 2-day Expo was organized by MoE (Petroleum Division) in collaboration with PPL.
PPL-funded Women Vocational Training Centre in District Okara, Punjab has commenced operations. Rs. 50 million has been allotted by PPL over a 5-year period with the first tranche of Rs. 10 million already handed over to Behbud Association of Pakistan, the implementing partner.
PPL has received Bronze Award by the prestigious South Asian Federation of Accountants for its Best Presented Annual Report Awards 2022 in the public sector category amongst SouthAsian contenders.A total of 144 companies participated across the region, including 37 from Pakistan.
PPL has recently organized 25 free surgical eye camps, benefitting 27000 underprivileged locals residing around its operated Sui, Mazarani, Gambat South & Adhi fields in Balochistan, Sindh & Punjab between November 18 & December 13 in partnership with Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital.
Production commences from Adhi South-6 : PPL is pleased to announce the successful commissioning of Adhi South-6, a new development well at its operated Adhi Field, that adds 600 bbl/d oil & 0.4 MMscfd gas. Drilled to a depth of 3,490 m, the well was completed as a producer.
PPL discovers gas & condensate from operated Jhim East X-1, Shah Bandar Block, along with JV partners MPCL, SEHCL & GHPL in District Sujawal, Sindh. This is the second discovery in Shah Bandar Block. During testing, Jhim East X-1 flowed 13.69 MMscfd gas & 236 bbl/ day condensate.
MD & CEO PPL Mr. Imran Abbasy called on Consul General of UAE in Karachi HE Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Rehmaiti on November 13 & discussed matters of mutual interest. The meeting focussed on seeking investment opportunities & collaboration in E&P of oil & gas possibilities in Pakistan.
PPL’s 72nd AGM was held on October 30. Members approved financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023 with auditor’s report. A final cash dividend of 15 % on both ordinary & convertible preference shares was approved. Hence, total dividend paid for the year is 25 %
Pakistan Petroleum Limited has achieved significant production gain of 13 MMscfd gas & 90 bpd condensate from existing wells in Sui Gas Field, Gambat South and Hala between June and September 2023 through a rigless production enhancement campaign.
