Does anyone have any insight into exactly what nic settings libpcap changes when opening an interface in promiscuous mode on Linux? I know it removes unicast/mcast hw filters, but does it change any interrupt mitigations in use and other off-loads? i350 chip in this use case.

This guy is a regular in our back yard. The dogs and he/she have come to some understanding I guess. Pretty impressive climbing because that rock is steep!! We have way less squirrels and chipmunks which is a bonus.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to view clients of a bfd session(s) in JunOS? I have bfd watching some static routes, piggy backing off a bgp supporting bfd session between the same two interfaces the static routes use. I see two clients instead of one but can’t get details..

That is an Ethernet port in the seat back of every seat. Unfortunately, I did not have a way to plug into it and sniff any traffic. I’ve never seen such a thing before.

A friend sent me a video of a guy putting up a cabin in the woods. Got me thinking of Dick Proemmeke who did it ALL by hand. He flew into Alaska w just the heads of his tools and made the handles. He did amazing work, you can see some of it here: youtu.be/hy-4NxJRxNQ

This rock is directly under my hammock and I can move it with my 5’ pry bar. I was going to enlist the help of my 14 yo using this logic, “if the Egyptians could build a pyramid, we should be able to move this rock." and see if he bites. The 7 yo is already in.

Wow!! A buddy of mine *significantly* upgraded his modeling+labbing environment. I don’t think he’s going to hit very many limitations now, other than maybe licensing. Storage is (I think) 10tb.
