Interesting narratives; BBC Journalist @mary_harper compared her first trip to Hargeisa in 1994, what she saw and how hargeisa was destroyed, and her second trip in 2013. She underscored what Somaliland is totally different from failed Countries like Somalia. #MarryHarrHargeisa

Somaliland has never signed a treaty or any other contacts with Somalia. How can Somaliland leave a country it never signed up to or even had a referendum to decide? #Somaliland has never physically signed away it's sovereignty and independence it had received from the UK in 1960

This shows a complete lack of understanding of the political reality on the ground. It's important for junior ministers to listen to Parliament as it is the role of Parliament to have a say on policy. Yesterday showed there is a broad consensus for UK Gov to recognise Somaliland.

@vickyford @HouseofCommons The absurdity of your argument sounds like what the United States said to the UK over a comprehensive trade deal, which is to first negotiate and make the EU happy over the Northern Ireland issue before you can get a comprehensive trade with US. It's nonsense!

@wamaxamed The average Somalilander doesn't even pay $100 a year in taxes and yet he expects road, hospital, schools and security lol! In the western countries people pay a lot of taxes and they still expected to paid rent, water, electricity, school meals & dental care. These have no idea!

Had he quoted president & made fun of the truth that would be one thing but to lie completely is deformation.

@BBCSomali Notice how Cirro rejects the role of supreme court of the Republic of Somaliland. He's said it's not their job. All disputes especially a constitutional disputes are the supreme court's responsible and job to clarify, explain & rule upon those constitutional disputes. #Somaliland

Is this what you call change? Violating the constitutional name of the house of representatives. I would also like to know if the refurbishment of the house was done using money from the budget or money from private individuals? Because that's a form of corruption. #Somaliland
