It was fantastic to see about a mile of saltires flying from lampposts throughout Maryhill Road today. It gave me a huge morale boost to see the strength of independence support, from Glasgow.

@JohnSwinney Well for goodness sake stop prevaricating & hold a new referendum! Platitudes from you don't pay our fuel bills. You TALK about Independence. How about ACTING immediately, to achieve it? Set an independence referendum date for autumn 2026 & the SNP will win a huge majority.
Swinney always struck me as acting like a Presbyterian minister. Full of righteous indignation & high moral probity. But looking serious & setting aspirations, are not the same as national leadership. That takes vision & the charisma which comes from acting for Scots freedom..
Scottish freedom from annexation, is not something we have to "win". It's not a prize in a contest. It's the basic human right belonging to all peoples, under the UN charter. We don't "win" freedom - we take it back. It was always ours to begin with.
Labour and the SNP are both losing members & not acting on the clear policy suggestions of their subscription paying members. Both will lose power shortly & be consigned to oblivion- unless they start listening to their own members. It's a sad day for democracy.
