The flood situation of Kishoreganj haor upazillas and Netrokona are becoming worsen. As per DRRO report 14 July , 3473 HHs of Itna Upazila and 2000 HHs of Karimganj Uazila is affected, 85 HHs of Itna take sheter and shlter centre. No allocation so far from Government or NGOs.

POPI-ECATTO project inception meeting held on 25 April 2019 at District circuit house Hall room, Kishoreganj.Mr. Md. Sarwar Murshed, DC, Kishoreganj was presented as chief guest where Mr. Khalilur Rahman, Deputy Director (M&E), POPI was present as chair.

Project coordination meeting held at PART- Kishoreganj sador, Kishoregonj on the date 9 April, 2019. The respective project personnel attended at the meeting and presented project progress up to March 2019 including learning and challenges faced .

Flash Flood in 2017 in Haor (Wetland) area Flash flood severely affected 518 unions of 6 districts.Estimated loss of crops is 879,360 metric ton.

POPI -Floating School program Floating schools are housed in specially designed and built water launches and /or big boats equipped with required facilities and learning/ teaching aids

POPI-Floating School program To address the schooling problem and to ensure quality education for the children living in remote haor villages.
