@xixiaofinland I never did. Mocking adds more problems than it takes away when applied to Salesforce DML. I found that database operations are not an issue in Apex Tests for well-structured apps where one object is not intertwined with 100 others. I still created github.com/rsoesemann/ape…

@xixiaofinland My firm Booz Allen Hamilton wrote a very lightweight framework for this type of issue. Essentially we wrap the System.Database class in a service built on the Callable interface and then mock the various methods needed to make the tests faster/simpler. github.com/boozallen/zd-f…

TDD is about tests. Only, it's not about testing. We use tests to drive the development, not to drive the testing. The word 'test' is essential.

When people hear that TDD is not about testing but about design, they ask "please remove the word 'test'". It's like if someone said there is a method called Hunger Driven Eating, and adds "it's not about hunger, it's about food", people say "then take the word 'hunger' out!"
