@Phil_Lewis_ Damn the boycott is boycotting huh? 🤭🤭🤭
@Phil_Lewis_ You publicly said black people don’t matter at your store anymore, so we had to show you the power of our money.
@Phil_Lewis_ He’s been there for 11 years and you thieving black people have only been boycotting it for one. It’s not your boycott.
That's true that Target's CEO Brian Cornell is stepping down on February 1, 2026, but here are the facts as to why: 1. **Planned Transition**: Cornell’s move to executive chairman, with 20-year veteran Michael Fiddelke as CEO, reflects a structured handover, not a boycott reaction (Reuters, August 20, 2025). 2. **Sales Issues Precede Boycotts**: The 3.8% sales drop in 2025 Q1 and a 1.9% decline in Q2 stem from a 2022 inventory glut and inflation, predating the 2025 boycott led by Rev. Jamal Bryant (AP News, May 21, 2025). 3. **Competitive Pressures**: Target struggles against Walmart (60% grocery sales) and Amazon due to its focus on discretionary items, a trend noted in CNN’s report, not boycott-related. 4. **Economic Factors**: Tariffs impacting half of Target’s imports, versus 33% at Walmart, drive price pressures and consumer shifts to essentials (Bank of America, CNN). 5. **DEI Backlash Minor**: While the DEI rollback sparked a boycott, Target’s 37% stock drop and three-quarter sales decline reflect long-term strategic issues, not just the protest (GlobalData Retail). Cornell’s exit addresses competitive and economic challenges, not primarily the boycott.
@Phil_Lewis_ Blk folks if you ever doubted our power it is playing in your face(the good kind lol) in real time
@Phil_Lewis_ Imagine pulling the plug on your lifeline 💀 Ggs Brian!
@Phil_Lewis_ I don’t think it’s the boycott. I don’t think it’s going woke. I think it’s because the vacuums cost $500-$300. Nobody’s paying that much for a vacuum in this economy.
@Phil_Lewis_ I like their clothes Universal Threads. Main reason I go. Good quality and cute, reasonably priced. I pay 30 for shorts that would be 75t at Dillards or Pennys. which will both go under due to unbelievably high priced merch. Ridiculous but it is good quality.
@Phil_Lewis_ It's always busy in West Texas. Weird. Packed store and parking lot. I dread going it's so busy but they work hard to get cashiers and self check out. Much easier than Wal Mart but they don't have the variety of merch Wal Mart has.
@Phil_Lewis_ Damage is done and now it’s time to run away😭
@Phil_Lewis_ Target should reinstate DEI and let the cards fall where they may. The consumers will reward them, while Trump will make them the villian.
@Phil_Lewis_ damn he really fafo 😂 I bet he will never question the value of what the black dollar means in America again
@Phil_Lewis_ damnn i really donnt go to @Target @TargetNews anymore thats crazy
@Phil_Lewis_ ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 They don’t care so fuckem.☺️
@Phil_Lewis_ I have known families that Over Night just stopped shopping there. Was a crazy turn around. Then when #ULTRA pulled out of the store its the #Downfall. #Target needed to do something
@Phil_Lewis_ So they don’t want to do their jobs and fix the problem? LOL ok 😒
@Phil_Lewis_ I think this is a dumb idea… I just finished reading this article. But let’s see what happens lol
@Phil_Lewis_ Target's new CEO will be African American
@Phil_Lewis_ Stepping down cause sells plunging, smh this is y’all’s leader yt pipo!!?
@Phil_Lewis_ I guess if you’re not woke then you go broke
