Time to share another milestone: as of today, over 2500 academic works have been endorsed using Plaudit.pub. Keep it up!
I start seeing more and more @PlauditPub beside publications, often in repository. It works with ORCID, DOI, CrossRef, and is a not for profit organisation. Really good idea. let's use it !
All articles published on #CadLin can now be openly endorsed by the academic community through @PlauditPub.

As a result of the work on preprint credibility led by @OSFramework, @socarxiv now asks authors to declare conflicts of interest, and report whether data and materials are available. We also include @PlauditPub for endorsements, and @hypothes_is for commenting. Great progress!

Today Plaudit.pub reached the milestone of 1500 different academic works having been endorsed 🎉
Endorsements can lend credibility to academic works... If you know who the endorser is. That's why Plaudit now highlights an endorser's websites, keywords and affiliations on their overview page, fetched straight from their ORCID profile.
People should use @PlauditPub to endorse preprints. This paper was reported on p1 of @nytimes, picked up by 210 other outlets, and tweeted 1677 times. Anyone with an ORCID can endorse it, by name, with the Plaudit button. This would help with signaling. medrxiv.org/content/10.110…
SocArXiv has about 80 papers with "covid" tags (bit.ly/2SYdaA6). Can I trust them? Is this how science works? A short thread 1/
How many people actually take advantage of @PlauditPub and @hypothes_is integration on @OSFramework? Posting a preprint is great, but #academics need to get more involved in actually reviewing other peoples' work rather than just hoping that people will find ours interesting.
@RebeccaSear I honestly wish more people used @hypothes_is and @PlauditPub. The whole point of OSF is that it allows for open peer review. Though I'm not sure I'm quite a "peer." More like a "peer in training."
Remember, if you find a preprint that you think warrants a little extra recognition, you can "endorse" it using @PlauditPub on Engineering Archive!
Seeing @PlauditPub live on @socarxiv I'm convinced it actually works.
A cool thing happened where a reporter looked at a paper on @socarxiv, and saw that I had given it a Plaudit (@PlauditPub) and so asked me for a comment. (You can follow my plaudits, FYI, at @pncplaudits)
