I've been in a writing slump since before the One Ring was forged and I don't know how to get out of it. It isn't an issue of writer's block, I'm just unmotivated. Any suggestions?

Northern lights arent so north right now. Apparently we get light shows all night. (For those that are having nighttime and note super close to the equator) seeing a fuscia sky was weird.

For my friends across the pond, is the reason you're baffled by peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches because you think we're eating Jelly, not jam on these things? Americans have something similar to jam that we call jelly. We are not putting wiggly deserts on sandwiches!

Hello crocheters! How do you keep your granny squares in easily countable piles? Also: any way to block without a blocking board or peg board? I made my first granny square yesterday, so a lot of these look more akin to circles than squares #crochet

The crocheting equivalent to using the wrong formula to get the right answer in math, is to land on a sc at the end of a row when it was supposed to be an inc, but still having the right amount of stitches. It's just a plush. It's still 30 stitches. No one will notice, right?

80,400 words total 12,400 words the last two days. 5800 tonight. For the first time ever. In my 19 years of writing. I finished a complete novel-length first draft. It's rough. It will never see the light of day. But I finished one.

I am 75k words into the first draft of my WIP. I am liable to finish tonight. I JUST realized that I never described my main character. Not hair color, eye color, nothing. Everyone else was described all the way down to the timbre of their voice. But not my lead. Ugh.

Here's what I love about the different generations Boomers: raised huge families with little support. Very hardworking Gen x: broke generational habits and built yourselves Millenials: we're aging well? Idk Gen Z: so creative. You'll shake the world Alpha: we'll see.

Some college kid just stole my 51 year old moms phone during her birthday celebration. I don't know who needs to hear this, but taking stuff that isn't yours is WRONG. Also, if you, put it back where you found it. She wants her photos.
