This is an image of the Soviet Space Shuttle, Buran. Now gathering dust at Baikonur Cosmodrome. The orbiter is a near carbon copy of the U.S. Space Shuttle, in part because of a massive espionage effort by the USSR. Learn more here: youtu.be/rcOIUMSkMJ8

On May 18th, 1980 the GOES-3 Weather Satellite captures these images of Mount St Helens erupting. It caused the biggest landslide ever recorded and 57 people lost their lives, overtaken by the pyroclastic flow. I've got a video about it here: youtu.be/vknkqeYwyis
