In the Brooklyn Museum archives, not on view, are railings from the old Police Gazette Building, 340 Pearl Street, Franklin Square, Manhattan, constructed in 1883 and demolished in 1965. Woodcut shows building on the day the Brooklyn Bridge opened (railings were later).
