We had 2 special visitors this week! Dr Fernandez let us try out some medical tools she uses as a doctor. Mr Ted brought in lots of construction tools and helped us use them to build a pirate ship. We appreciate them giving us these great hands-on learning experiences!
We are 💯 days smarter! Thank you Ms Veronica for all of the fun 100 activities 🥳
🩷💚Happy Valentine’s Day 🩵💜
Our families wrote kind things that we did at home on hearts and sent them into school. We were so proud to share them with our classmates and add them to our kindness board each day to celebrate #VAKindnessWeek!
We had a busy week! We did some cooking, created some valentine decorations, celebrated a birthday, and learned about Lunar New Year! Thank you to all of the parents who joined us 🩷🩷
We had a great time decorating gingerbread houses with our families! Thank you to our room mom @Jessie_NoVA for organizing everything, and thank you to all of the parents who contributed supplies and spent the morning with us. Happy holidays 🍬🍭!!
We turned our fall tree into a family tree!
Turkey activities were lots of fun, but we weren’t as enthusiastic about the Thanksgiving foods we tried 🦃!

We had a great time practicing our communication skills as we trick-or-treated throughout the school today. Happy Halloween 👻 🎃

Last week we learned about fire safety and how firefighters help us. We were excited to get to meet some firefighters, see their gear, and go inside a fire truck. Thank you Chantilly firefighters for visiting Poplar Tree! @ffxfirerescue @PoplarTreeES

This week we used all of our senses to explore the world around us.
We learned about emotions this week. One of our favorite activities was making faces out of pasta and trying to make our faces match. Can you guess what emotions we we trying to create?
