In the span of 5.75 years, Zuck and Co. spent $112B buying FB/META shares, a not insignificant 78% of cumulative $143B profit and fully half of $222B in cash flow from operations. Price seems to have not been an object, buying 435 million shares for an average $257 per share. 2/

Updated my data on $META buyback. What's crazy is Meta is currently making almost high teen IRR on its 2021 buybacks which was considered downright crazy capital allocation not so long ago. Maybe I shouldn't have been as harsh as I was on Wehner lol.

Am I using a different version of $GOOG? Who actually sees 10 blue links? 50%+ of searches are zero-click (0 blue links), and when I see any links at all (queries with commercial intent) I usually see 1-2 blue links, maybe 3, (depending on how far down I need to scroll).

@Bengordon2013 @kylerhasson Defense (1/3 of biz) flat/up, freight (15% of commercial aftmkt) up decent amount. They can be around FCF neutral on that, with ~$4.2B cash and no maturities for 4+ years. On the other side of this (pick your yr, 2022/2023) why doesn’t it trade back to pre-COVID price?

TikTok lowering FY22 revenue estimate by 20%. When $META lowers revenue growth estimates, it’s not macro, it’s competition from TikTok. So does it follow that TikTok is also facing competition from TikTok? Or maybe some of the revenue headwinds really are cyclical…
